I have eight years of experience working as an editor (project editor, editor-corrector) with private/public and various non-governmental organizations. I mainly edit fiction and scientific books, book series, annual/summary reports and documents, information brochures, articles, and press releases - texts of various genres, content, and volume. Cooperation does not only mean the technical processing of the text from a linguistic point of view since the position of the project editor includes (directly) working on the reader - correcting morphological, syntactic, and punctuation errors, as well as - refining the text from a stylistic point of view, in many cases, completely transforming the context, semantic intervention - content change, Thinking of the necessary context - adding it, spreading the text - filling it, reshaping it and its full-fledged maintenance.
In 2019, I got the status of a trainer for the first time. For one year, first, in direct and later (due to the pandemic) distance learning mode, I successfully led preparatory courses not only for entrants (initial program for national exams - Georgian language and literature) and bachelor (master's exams - academic skills) but also for pedagogues representing different generations. For those who wish, I taught Georgian and academic writing.
The happy opportunity to work in the field of education and relations with students continues in the form of adjusting the role of a lecturer at the Caucasus University and teaching the introduction of literary studies and theory of literature to undergraduate students, as well as reviewing master's theses at TSU University and correcting tests confirming the subject qualifications of teachers at the National Center for Examinations.
